- The Ananya Dance Theatre performed “Moreechika: Season of Mirage,” choreographed by Dr. Ananya Chatterjea (‘02), at the Harare International Festival of the Arts in Zimbabwe.
- Ananya Chatterjea (’02) receives one of the McKnight Artist Fellowships for Choreography.
- Joe Chvala (’94) is directing the Carleton Players, along with the renowned dance/theater company the Flying Foot Forum, in an exciting new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice in Wonderland. Performances will be held in the Weitz Center for Creativity Theater on April 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m and April 14 at 2:00 p.m.

- An essay on Emory Douglas by Colette Gaiter ('96), “The Revolution will be Visualized,” will be published in West of Center: Art and the Counterculture Experiment in America, 1965–1977. In 2011, Delaware Division of the Arts (DDA) named her an Established Artist Fellow in Visual Art: Works on Paper. Her solo exhibition at the DDA Mezzanine Gallery, in Wilmington runs through March 30.

- The music of Dan Jerome (’10) is featured in Off the Map, a play that tells the story of 50 small towns across North Dakota. (In addition, playwright Kathy Coudle-King and musician Robert Sackman are each 2009 recipients of Dakota Creative Connection support, a 2008-2009 Foundation program that made small grants to North Dakota and South Dakota artists at early stages of their careers to support their development.)
