Of the approximately 562 federally recognized tribes in the United States, there are 23 federally recognized tribes in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Bush Foundation will support the self-determination of Native nations by working with these tribes, which have a government-to-government relationship with the U.S. federal government. |
